As core heat exchange equipment in the chemical industry, condensers and evaporators are mainly applied in the following aspects:

1、 Working principle and function

Condenser

Function: Cool gaseous media (such as reaction products, steam) to liquid state and release heat. For example, in an ethylene cracking unit, the cracking gas is cooled to 40 ℃ through a two-way tube condenser, resulting in an annual increase of 20000 tons of ethylene production.
Technical features: Adopting spiral wound tube bundle or plate structure, the heat transfer coefficient can reach 8000-13600W/(m ² ·℃), and the heat recovery efficiency is ≥ 96%.

Evaporator

Function: By absorbing heat, the liquid solvent evaporates, achieving solution concentration or substance separation. For example, in chemical production, it is used to remove water from solutions and recover chemical substances.
Technical features: It is necessary to ensure sufficient contact between the liquid medium and the heat source, and the structural design focuses on heat transfer efficiency and corrosion resistance.
2、 Typical application scenarios

Petrochemical industry

The condenser is used in catalytic cracking units to recover high-temperature flue gas heat, with an annual energy saving of up to 20 million yuan.
Evaporators concentrate reactants in synthesis gas processing to improve resource utilization efficiency.

Electricity and Environmental Protection

The condenser is matched with a steam turbine unit to condense the exhaust steam into water to improve power generation efficiency.
Evaporative condensers reduce energy consumption in water scarce areas by absorbing heat through water evaporation.

Food and pharmaceuticals

The evaporator is used for concentrating dairy products, while the condenser recovers heat in the refrigeration system.
3、 Technological development trends
Material innovation: Corrosion resistant materials such as titanium alloys and silicon carbide coatings extend equipment life to 30 years.
Intelligence: Integrating IoT sensors to achieve fault warning, reducing maintenance costs by 40%.
